Hey y’all! I hope that you all had a great weekend. I had a very busy weekend, but it was wonderful. I had 5 of my skating students compete yesterday and they all were incredible.
My little Rey warming up for her Star Wars program. I have been teaching this little girl for almost 4 years now. She is so cute and sweet. Every single lesson she tells me that she loves me and gives me tons of hugs and kisses. It melts my heart. ❤️
I have been teaching Emma since she was 3 years old. This little girl has so much talent at such a young age. I am very lucky to have her as a student. When I told her that she got first place yesterday her response to me was, “again…?” I about died laughing.
One of my skating coaches from when I was competing chose to have me coach one of her daughters. It has been such an honor and joy being able to coach Lyla and I’m so proud of how hard she works each and every week.
My little student Ava has worked so hard since the first day I started teaching her. Yesterday she won her first gold medal skating to “Shut Up And Dance With Me.” I choreographed this program into a cha-cha and she killed it. I couldn’t be more proud of her hard work and dedication to this sport and I’m so happy she was finally rewarded for it yesterday.
What a joy it is being a coach. Some days I really do miss competing, but now I am able to watch my own students grow and become great skaters. The best part of all of this isn’t teaching them how to skate but being a figure in these girls lives. I love being there for them and knowing that I will be for the rest of their lives. All I can say is that I’m so proud of them!
